Description: Aeonium 'Albovariegatum' is a very beautiful variegate having a green centre with white, cream and pale yellow outer leaf edges. Over summer and when stressed or grow hard, plants may also show splashes of pink. Plants will grow to around half a metre high with offsetting side shoots.
Plant Care: This is a very stable variegate and easy to grow. Avoid the hot summer afternoon sun or the plants may burn.
Origins: Variegated form of Aeonium arboreum.
Comments: There are two described Aeonium arboreum variegates, one being A. arboreum 'Albovariegatum' (meaning white variegation) & A. arboreum 'Luteovariegatum' (meaning yellow variegation). They are most likely the same and are probably in need of revision. We have never seen a Aeonium arboreum 'Luteovariegatum' (and it seems no one has?) but both were described and published back in 1959. The stock we grow is most often white and green in colour as described for (Albovariegation) but under the certain conditions will often show tones of Yellow and Pink.
