Description: We find Aeonium 'Ariel' a particularly interesting new variegate and we hope you love it as much as we do!
For most of the year the colours are a simple shade of white and green, with a beautiful purple/brown stripe to the tip end of each leaf. This stripe is a distinct characteristic feature of this cultivar and is present for most of the year.
Over summer is when the transformation begins to happen and the plants take on a whole new look. With good light the rosettes with darken up considerably, with the characteristic purple stripe becoming more prominent. The pastel colours aren't as bright and flashy like many of the new variegates, but the plants show off a beautiful soft palate which give the succulent a very rustic and country look. And we love this!
Plant Care: Easy to grow and look after. Grow in good light to achieve the best colours but avoiding the hot afternoon summer sun or the plants may burn.
Origins: One of the many new variegates created in Asia.
Comments: Also sold under the name 'Bilang'. We also suspect this is the same as what is sold as 'Green Waves'.
