Description: 'Inferno' is simply spectacular! A small compact growing variegate, developing intense colours of deep purple with vibrant pink leaf margins and a green and white centre. An interesting feature is the some what distorted leaf margins which are characteristic of this cultivar. During the growing season plants will be much greener and may superficially resemble Aeonium 'Mardi Gras' but they are very much different. This is truly one of our favorites and is a must have for every Aeonium collection!
Plant Care: Grow plants in good direct light to bring out the best colours. Although this variety can handle full sun, the colours may become washed out with too much sun exposure, so it is best to grow in a location where it is given some summer sun protection.
Origins: 'Inferno’ was initially introduced by Paradisia Nurseries. We believe Inferno to be a variegated sport of Aeonium 'Short Black'.
Comments: Unfortunately there is now another variegated Aeonium sold under the name 'Inferno' which is being distributed out of Asia. We don't believe these are available here in Australia yet, but they are both very different plants and will no doubt cause confusion once it does become available.
