Description: Aeonium 'Peacock' is the variegated form of the Aeonium cultivar 'Black Magic'. We have not currently seen 'Black Magic' available here in Australia but we can say without doubt that we absolutely love 'Peacock'!

The form of 'Peacock' is in part where its beauty lies, where the leaves tend to droop down from the main trunk giving the plants a graceful flowing effect. And although only small growing in height, the variegated heads of red, green and white can grow quite large often seeming disproportionate to the rest of the plant.

As with most Aeoniums the more sun this one receives the dark the colours will get.

Plant Care: Being only a small growing cultivar 'Peacock' is well suited to growing in pots. Peacock does not always produce a huge number of offsets, so if you wish to have the plants branch out more, neatly remove the central head throughout the growing season to encourage the plant to branch. Plants are very hardy and easy to look after.

Origins: Variegated form of Aeonium 'Black Magic'

Comments: Aeonium 'Black Magic' is an English cultivar created by Penberth Plants.

Without knowing the direct parentage of this hybrid, we highly suspect Aeonium simsii to be involved in the breeding.

We have also seen Aeonium 'Peacock' sold under the name 'Red Phoenix'

We have now unfortunately seen a very different variegated Aeonium, also sold under the name 'Peacock' here in Australia and this is incorrect.
