Description: Aeonium 'Shaohua' is simply stunning and in our opinion one of the best new cultivars available!
It's believed to have been discovered as a sport from the well known cultivar Aeonium 'Pink Witch'. Although similar in form to that of 'Pink Witch, its colours are distinctly different making it a stand out cultivar in its own right.
Throughout the cooler months the rosettes display a vibrant mix of green and yellow colours, with the yellow mid-leaf section becoming almost florescent in nature. As the plants mature or when stressed or dormant, the colors transform and darken considerably, developing deep shades of red and maroon.
These colour combinations are a winner and the reason why it has quickly become one of our new favorites.
Plant Care: Very easy to grow and look after. Looks fantastic when grown in a dark coloured pot which shows off the vibrant green and yellow colours, and the stunning flushes of deep red and maroon.
Origins: One of the many new Chinese creations, which is believed to have been discovered as a sport from the cultivar Aeonium 'Pink Witch'.
