Description: Wow, Wow, Wow!
Undoubtedly one of the most impressive of all the new variegated Aeoniums.
Developing a stunning array of unique colours unlike anything else, ‘Superbang’ is a pure delight to behold!
Throughout the cooler months and when grown in low light levels the leaves are a lovely lime green and pale yellow colour. As the plants transition into the warmer months the colours begin to change dramatically. The central green portions become considerable darker turning a deep brown/purple colour, whilst the yellow outer margins intensify displaying a vivid yellow which almost glows! These two colours together are the characteristics making 'Superbang' so unique and they complement each other perfectly.
Plant Care: To achieve the best colours we recommend growing to good light, avoiding the hot summer sun. With too much sun exposure you may find that the colours may become washed out or darken considerably, losing the yellow variegation for the short term.
Origins: Although we are not certain of this at the moment, it is thought to be a variegated form of 'Velour'.
Comments: Also known as Aeonium 'Ou-jiali' and unfortunately now also as ‘Eucarie’. It appears 'Ou-jiali' was the original Asian name and then at some point given the English name of 'Superbang'. Which ever came first, 'Superbang' has undoubtedly taken precedent as the most widely excepted and used name.
