Description: Behold the mighty god of Aeoniums - 'Zeus'
Well... obviously not a god per se, but it is without a doubt a large, strong and powerful grower. This trait comes from its parentage - Aeonium undulatum, and which itself is also an extremely robust grower and often forms large clumps.
'Zeus' is simply spectacular and when grown well, the plants will develop large rosettes of white, cream, yellow and green.
Come the summer dormancy, these rosettes with generally close up and develop a funnel shape with a leaf margin of speckled pink.
Plant Care: Generally easy to grow and look after. Grow in good light to achieve the best colours, but avoid the hot afternoon sun or the plants will burn.
Origins: One of the variegated forms of Aeonium undulatum.
Comments: The only downside to this stunning cultivar is that the variegation is somewhat variable. Sometimes the variegation is uniform and sometimes not. The green portions may be thin or thick or even both in the one rosette. It also does often revert, but the reversion tend to be pure white/cream in color without any green pigment rather than reverting back to pure green. We don't necessarily see this as a bad thing when it develops on a large growing clump and can often add to its beauty. The problem is people try to sell these cuttings which have very little variegation and/or green pigment and the plants do not develop into anything good.
We will only ever sell plants which we feel to have very good variegation and the best chance of success.
